FINALLY FREE

When silence
Has nothing left
To say, disarming
The hands of rain.

Wet blades, unrustled
Toiled by dashing beetles,
And young spiders.
Threads in diadems

Hanging in thin air.
Spirits soar.
Wingless. Ecstatic.
Finally Free.

Author's Note:

I was in bed that afternoon when these words came to mind...finally sharing with you all.
